I’d been working with my Coach for about a year when he surprised me with this compliment: “You know, Dorothy, I see you as the perfect combination of Condoleezza Rice and Oprah Winfrey.” WOW, I thought! But immediately, my mind shifted to doubt: Could I ever embody the essence of such extraordinary individuals?” 

Can you relate to my reaction? Do you ever feel ‘less than or not enough’? I know I certainly have and still do at times. However, since these positive words were spoken into my life, I have worked hard to grow into an exceptional individual; for example, in intellect and accomplishments, I desire to share Rice's brilliance, diplomatic skills, and understanding of world affairs. Likewise, I draw inspiration from Oprah Winfrey, a beacon of empowerment, with a sophisticated style and approachable demeanor, combined with a keen sense of empathy, compassion, and commitment to encourage others. Perhaps your ideal is a combination of Taylor Swift and Brittney Mahomes! That’s great! I want to help YOU become this exceptional woman!

I created this logo with stiletto boot and beautiful butterfly to reflect the transformational process required of us to embody such an extraordinary woman. My desire is for us to become community champions – individually and collectively - for military wives and families. Let’s develop a supportive community of resilient influencers who know the importance of creating family legacy within our oft-changing military lifestyle. We can do this through the power of shared personal stories.
