A Golden Nugget
Dec 18, 2024I encourage you to watch this short video by one of America’s funniest female comedians, Jeanne Robertson. The subject is about thanking our Veterans

Jeanne’s message is sincere and indeed an honorable gesture; however, within it, there’s an omission that most people never consider. I can’t count the number of people who have approached my husband to thank him for his service when he’s wearing an Army hat or t-shirt. He genuinely appreciates this, particularly being a Vietnam Vet, who returned to an ungrateful nation. Usually, his wife and children are accompanying him, but they are not acknowledged for their service, even though their support plays a crucial role in the mission.
Let me share with you a golden nugget. Over the Christmas holidays, when many of you will travel by air to share time with family, if’/when you see an active-duty member or veteran, do not hesitate to express your appreciation for their sacrifice and service, but please don’t forget to also thank the family for their unwavering support and service.
